Dr. Ted T. Cable Assistant Department Head for the Department of Horticulture, Forestry and Recreation Resources, and is a professor of interpretation and natural resource conservation in the Park Management and Conservation Program at Kansas State University. Ted's professional interests include: avian ecology, study of the human dimensions of wildlife management, park design, and planning ecotourism in developing countries. He has authored eight books, several book chapters, and more than 150 articles in the field of natural resource management with an emphasis on human - nature interactions. Renowned chimpanzee researcher Jane Goodall honored Dr. Cable by writing the Foreword to his book about West Africa. He is the recipient of numerous awards in education and interpretation.
