| Linking science and coastal policy is an important component of the work at SeaTrust Institute. This involves creating awareness of the valuable natural resources of the Grays Harbor area and other Northwest habitats and ecosystems, considering the human dimensions of coastal decision making, and contributing to building strong scientific, educational, social and financial partnerships. SeaTrust Institute is represented as an Ocean Policy Advisor in Washington state and as an NGO delegate in the UN Climate Change meeting process (UNFCCC) by Dr. Wilson who participates in research relating to ocean and marine policy, climate change, health and coastal issues linking science and policymakers and innovations in collaborative processes for better decisions.
