Nurses Across the Borders Humanitarian Initiative (NABHI) is an international charitable non-government, not-for-profit organization. Founded in 1999 on the recognition that the vast majority of people worldwide enjoy poor health care delivery services, arising from the dangers of inadequate health care facilities, crisis and conflicts, droughts, disaster and famine, detrimental to full and good health. It is the belief of NABHI that health is everybody’s business.


The Collaborative on Health and the Environment (CHE) is an international partnership committed to strengthening the scientific and public dialogue on the impact of environmental factors on human health and catalyzing initiatives to address these concerns. CHE has been instrumental in leveraging mainstream health-affected constituencies in the environmental health science revolution and engaging researchers, health professionals, and environmental health and justice advocates from diverse sectors.


Health Care Without Harm: Leading the global movement for environmentally responsible health care. "First Do No Harm" ... Together with their partners around the world, Health Care Without Harm shares a vision of a health care sector that does no harm, and instead promotes the health of people and the environment. To that end, they are working to implement ecologically sound and healthy alternatives to health care practices that pollute the environment and contribute to disease.


The Health and Environment Alliance aims to raise awareness of how environmental protection improves health. It achieves this by creating opportunities for better representation of citizens’ and health experts’ perspectives in the environment and health-related European policy-making. Their membership includes a diverse network of 65 citizens’, patients’, women’s, health professionals’ and environmental organisations across Europe and has a strong track record in increasing public and expert engagement in both EU debates and the decision-making process.


The American Center for Life Cycle Assessment is a non-profit membership organization formed in 2001. It is the professional society for Life Cycle Assessment in the United States. The work of ACLCA is primarily carried out through volunteers working in the ACLCA Committees. Mission and Goals include Organizational Membership, Committees and ACLCA Business Plan. Environmental issues have a direct effect on the financial well being of all people and organizations. Institute for Environmental Research & Education or IERE envisions a world where everyday decisions integrate environmental facts and concerns as a matter of common sense. IERE’s mission is to undertake and disseminate comprehensive, fact-based research for use in the development of responsible environmental policy, programs and decisions.
